"I had a gingivectomy (gum surgery) today without anesthesia. That's right .. no Novocain, no nothing. I am truly amazed that I experienced no pain. I had a cavity below the gum line, so, after the gum was cut away, the tooth was drilled and then filled. Absolutely, no pain.

At age 64, I can assure you that I have experienced PAIN having dental work done. I had periodontal surgery in 1974 for ANUG (acute necronizing ulcerative gingivitis). Very painful. Today's procedure was no different from a regular cleaning. Truly.
