Dr. Daniel Stewart founded Smile Savers Dentistry in Columbia, Maryland after graduating from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1989. Since its inception, he has practiced dentistry using the most updated dental techniques in a kind, fun-loving environment. The office is very comfortable and relaxing. In the winter time come warm yourself by our cozy fireplace in the reception area. The treatment rooms are spacious, modern and full of natural light. The staff is wonderful and care about how each patient is treated and strive to make the dental experience one of the most painless and most comfortable there is to offer in Howard County. Dr. Stewart's belief is that if Smile Savers is not getting at least three referrals from current patients a week, then it is not doing a good enough job. Dr. Stewart is very professional and actually makes it fun to come to the dental office. His chairside manner and communication skills are excellent. His explanations are very clear so that his patients really understand what is going to be done, why treatment is needed and how much it is going to cost. He is very perceptive in understanding what his patients want and goes out of his way to make sure there is true agreement before any treatment is done. Dr. Stewart's clinical skills and judgment are excellent. He strives for cosmetic and functional perfection and takes a long term approach to dental health. He has treated over 30,000 patients and averages over 100 credit hours per year in continuing dental education. He is a general dentist and can perform most dental procedures in-office and has invested in such technology as the Waterlase Laser, Cerec and Invisalign. His reward for being a dentist is helping patients restore their dental health, self-confidence and faith in dentistry.
Besides dentistry, Dr. Stewart is active in supporting the Carol Jean Cancer Foundation, Citizens Commission on Human Rights, the Second Chance Program and is the Co-Founder of Applied Scholastics Academy of Maryland. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, and he is also an alumnus of the Pankey Institute.
